Basseini hooaeg on läbi End of Swimming pool season
Ebola viirus teeb Lääne-Aafrikas palju pahandust viimasel ajal ning üleeilse seisuga kahtlustatakse esimest juhtumit ka Ghanas (Kahtlustatakse juba teist korda, aga esimene kord ei osutunud kahtlus tõeseks).

Ghanalased on viirusest tegelikult üsna teadlikud – vähemalt, selles osas, mis puutub viiruse vältimise põhireegleid. 1) Ara katsu Ebolahaiget ja 2) Pane kõrgendatud rõhku hügieenile 3) Väldi metslooma liha söömist.
Siiski on aspekte, mille peale kohe ei tule. Näiteks “Väldi ühisbasseine!” ma lisaks siia juurde kohe tiigid ja järvekesed ka kus metsloomadki suplemas käivad.

Pidasin Ebolat ja ka Koolerat rohkem sellisteks haigusteks, millede eest arvasi end hästi kaitstud olevat – pesemistingimused kodus head, antiseptik käekotis, ulukiliha pole juba ammu söönud ning ega teab mis kätleja/kallistaja ma ka pole. Konservatiivse eestasena eelistan ma tervituseks pigem käega viibata.

Kuid pühapäev basseini ääres oli ju meie pere traditsioon!!! Ehk siis paremate uudiste saabumiseni tuleb puhkepäevadeks uued plaanid teha!

Ebola Virus has caused lot of trouble in West-Africa lately and few days ago they might have recorded the first case also in Ghana. Test results are still pending.

Actually ghanians are quite aware when it comes to the main rules of avoiding the disease. 1) Do not touch the one with disease without special protection. (Unless you are doctor – do not touch at all) 2) Pay special attention to your every day hygene 3) Do not eat bush meat!

But still there are aspects you might think of at first place – for instance “Avoid Public Swimming pools” And yeah to this one I would straight add all sort of lakes and ponds where wild animals too oftentake bath.

At least I thought I were quite protected from diseases like Ebola and Cholera cos I have good water connection in my house and we have no issues with hygene, also my family members are used to carry the hand sanitizer along and bush meat have not been in our menu for long. I am not very touchy either.

But Sunday on the pool sideused to be our family tradition! Well what to do… till better news, I guess we have to make new plansfor our off days! 🙁
